13th Annual Race to the North Pole

Body

Get ready for a little friendly competition, plenty of holiday cheer,

and a whole lot of community spirit! The 13th Annual Race to the North

Pole returns to historic downtown Beaufort on Saturday, December 12,

2026, bringing neighbors together to make Christmas brighter for

children in our community.

Hosted by the Holland Shepard Group Real Estate, this one-of-a-kind

holiday tradition features local community leaders, business owners,

and first responders racing kid-sized tricycles drag strip style, all

in the name of giving back.

But the real winners are the children! The event benefits the Marine

Corps Toys for Tots program, with a special focus on collecting new

bicycles for children who might otherwise go without one on Christmas

morning.

Over the years, this beloved Beaufort tradition has collected more

than 2,500 bicycles, thanks to the generosity of local businesses,

sponsors, volunteers, and residents.

The festivities begin at 9:30 a.m., with racing kicking off at 10:00

a.m. near the Dock House on Front Street.

Everyone is invited to come cheer on their favorite racers, enjoy the

holiday atmosphere, and help us spread a little Christmas magic.

Donations of new children's bicycles are encouraged and greatly

appreciated.

Mark your calendars for December 12th and help us race toward a

brighter Christmas, one bicycle at a time!

Community event in Beaufort, Carteret County, NC 28516.
