Shelf Explorers - Dunn

Calling all independent readers, fantasy fans, and adventurous thinkers! If you are looking for your next great literary adventure and want a space to share your passion for amazing stories, you have found your crew. Designed for kids ages 10–12, this dynamic program takes a deeper dive into the library's shelves, turning great books into a launchpad for epic discussions, creative challenges, and awesome hands-on projects with friends who love to read just as much as you do.

This month we're reading:

Dream On

By: Shannon Hale

Step into the dream-filled world of Dream On and follow Janey as she discovers that her dreams may hold more meaning than she ever imagined! As we explore Janey’s journey and the connection between dreams, imagination, and real life, we’ll talk about the story and what makes our own dreams unique. Then, we’ll use our creativity to design and create our very own 3-D dream clouds inspired by the book, filled with our own imaginative ideas and dreams.

We supply all the books, art materials, and snacks—all you need to bring is your curiosity, your enthusiasm, and your imagination! This is the perfect place to discover new series, share your ultimate fan theories, and see how far a great story can take you. Come ready to create, connect, and explore an unforgettable afternoon!
