Summary:
Guys and Dolls is the gold-standard musical comedy, a dazzling, laugh-filled adventure through the colorful streets of Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City. Since its landmark 1950 Broadway debut, this Tony Award-winning classic has charmed audiences worldwide with its unforgettable characters, razor-sharp humor, and Frank Loesser’s legendary score featuring hits like “Luck Be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat.” At the center of the story are fast-talking gambler Nathan Detroit, his long-suffering fiancée Adelaide, high-rolling charmer Sky Masterson, and the strait-laced missionary Sarah Brown, whose unlikely romance sparks a whirlwind journey from Times Square to Havana and back again. Packed with vibrant ensemble numbers, big personality roles, and nonstop heart, humor, and romance, Guys and Dolls remains one of the most beloved and crowd-pleasing musicals ever written.
