Calling all young chefs and bookworms! Bring your appetite and your imagination to a delicious after-school adventure where favorite stories come to life in the kitchen. Designed for kids ages 6–9, this program connects the joy of reading with the exciting world of culinary arts.

This Month – Empanadas: Get ready for a delicious culinary adventure as we share the heartwarming story Empanadas for Everyone! After reading about the joy of making and sharing this beloved family favorite, we'll create our very own empanadas. Kids will learn simple food preparation skills, practice measuring and assembling ingredients, and discover how cooking can bring people together while creating a tasty treat to enjoy.

We supply all the ingredients, tools, and recipe cards—all you need to bring is your creativity, your enthusiasm, and a healthy appreciation to try new foods! Whether you are an experienced kitchen helper or a first-time chef, this is the perfect place to discover new flavors, laugh with friends, and see how much fun reading and cooking can be together. Come hungry for an excellent book and ready to cook up an unforgettable afternoon!
