Calling all young adventurers, mystery solvers, and story lovers! Grab your favorite reading spot and get ready for a fast-paced journey through the pages of the library’s most exciting chapter books. Designed for kids ages 6–9, this high-energy program turns independent reading into a social adventure where books come alive through imagination, friendship, and hands-on creativity.
This month we're reading:
The Chocolate Touch
By: Patrick Skene Catling
Get ready to meet John Midas, a boy who loves chocolate more than anything—until he discovers that you really can have too much of a good thing. Kids will chat about their favorite funny moments from the book while transforming ordinary objects into "chocolate" creations using chocolate scented paint to take home.
We supply all the books, crafting materials, and snacks—all you need to bring is your curiosity, your voice, and your imagination! Whether you are already reading chapter books on your own or just love listening to a great story and hanging out with friends, this is the perfect place to discover your next favorite series. Come ready to share your thoughts, unleash your creativity, and chat up a storm during an unforgettable afternoon!
