What if we could meet death the way we hope to meet life: awake, held, and unafraid? Join us for a film screening of the short documentary, “The Last Ecstatic Days,” which follows a young man with terminal brain cancer who began sharing his dying openly with the world. His hospice physician, Dr. Aditi Sethi, brought him to a quiet house in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, where a circle of strangers became a community of care and walked with him to his final breath.
Aditi joins us to share the film and the story behind it. Afterward, Mirabai Starr and Carmen Acevedo Butcher join her for a conversation about grief, mystery, and the courage it takes to stay present at the threshold.
This is an evening to feel deeply, to wonder, and to remember that none of us has to face the great unknowing alone. Please note, this film portrays the end of life with tenderness and honesty.
Tickets: $20 plus tax and fees
